Poland occupied this city in 1920. The huge part of habitans were lithuanians.

I must say this film brought memories, when i was little i took photoalbum from my mom closet l seen my grandmaother and grandfather from 1900's this film showed things i seen in the pictures,it just brought me to tears.I wish there were more films like this of suwalki.Thank you for posting this film.I must say one day i will pack my bags and visit my childhood city with my kids.

Wow jestem pod wielkim wrażeniem. Uwielbiam historię, widzieć swoje miasto w 1937 jest czymś niezwykłym. Ile bym dała, żeby zobaczyć na filmiku swoich pradziadków, czy dziadków, kiedy byli młodzi. Może ludzie w tamtych czasach nie mieli za dużo, ale mieli do siebie szacunek. Czasy się zmieniły.

amazing to see a film from 1937 of what must be a rather small town...the man perhaps is the mayor promoting the town?
